Beneteau Swift Trawler 42 is a spacious and seaworthy motorboat with good sea characteristics. With two Volvo Penta D6-310 engines (620 hp) and semi-planing hull and bow/stern thrusters, it combines power and manoeuvrability. The layout provides comfort with a large saloon, fully equipped galley and two cabins.

The boat was bought in UK in 2007 (ordered 2006), EU VAT paid back then. Also Norwegian VAT (moms) is paid.

The Beneteau Swift Trawler 42 from 2007 is a solid and well-maintained motorboat with high comfort and excellent seaworthiness. The boat combines classic trawler design with modern solutions for a safe and efficient voyage. With spacious living areas, large window surfaces and high-quality material choices, this is a boat that provides both style and functionality. Perfect for long trips or as a stable leisure boat for weekend trips.

 

Floor plan

The boat has a smart and practical layout with good use of space. The spacious lounge has a large U-shaped sofa and dining table, which can easily be converted into extra sleeping space.

The galley is fully equipped with a cooker, oven, fridge and plenty of storage. Below deck you will find two comfortable cabins – a large main cabin with a double bed and a guest cabin with a double bed. The bathroom has been remodeled and has a toilet, sink and shower.

The flybridge offers extra seating, a steering position and a great view.

Sea characteristics

The Swift Trawler 42 is known for its safe and economical sea characteristics. The hull is designed for both stability and efficiency, which provides a comfortable sail even in rough seas. The top speed is around 27 knots, but the boat has an ideal cruising speed of 18-20 knots, where the fuel consumption is about 30 litres/hour per engine.

The boat has a good combination of stability and manoeuvrability, while also having a relatively low draft for easy access to shallow waters.

CE category B (Offshore). Approved for 12 people in category B and up to 16 people in category D.

 

Motor and mechanical

The boat is equipped with two Volvo Penta D6 310 hp engines, which give a total of 620 hp. The engines are well maintained and provide both reliable operation and low consumption. Consumption of approx. 7 litres/hour (total) at 6-7 knots. Straight axles.

Bow and stern thrusters have been installed for easy manoeuvring. The boat also has a generator, shore power, hot water system and good battery banks for increased independence on longer trips.
