Boat Details

Description
The soul of 1910, built for today

With its sleek lines of 9 meters long and only 1.40 meters wide, this special motorboat is a rare sight on the water. It is not a mass-produced item, but a unique replica of a motorboat from 1910 — built based on an original ship that once served as a mold. Only two copies were made. This is number one. One of a kind.

Built by Builder Fred Willemsen, with maintenance always carefully performed at Yacht Yard de Bruijn in Weesp, every detail breathes craftsmanship and love for classic boats.

The hull — sleek in navy blue, powerful above an anthracite underwater hull — combines the reliability of polyester with the warm, living appearance of a solid wooden superstructure. The deck, completely stripped and rebuilt in the winter of 2025 with eight layers of varnish, shines like a mirror in the sun.

Sailing where others stop

What makes this boat truly special is its elegance in motion.
With a headroom of only 1 meter — and even 0.60 meters with the windows down — the No5 opens routes that remain closed to other boats.

Think of:

  • The quiet side passages of bridges near Weesp
  • Sailing directly to Amsterdam without waiting or locking
  • Intimate waterways where only the enthusiast goes

This is not a boat that takes you somewhere.
This is a boat that lets you go anywhere.

Power and comfort in silence

Under its classic appearance lies modern reliability.
A 45 HP Solé Diesel engine provides smooth power, with a cruising speed of about 10 knots and a top speed of 15.

It is surprisingly economical — with a range that effortlessly takes you back and forth to Friesland, as it has proven multiple times in the past.

The bow thruster makes maneuvering in narrow canals effortless.
Steering is done like in a car: direct, intuitive, familiar.

A life full of stories

The No5 is not just a sloop.
It has lived.

  • Support boat during the legendary Great River Race on the Thames
  • Present at the Volvo Ocean Race in Rotterdam
  • Participated twice in Sail Amsterdam
  • Countless trips over the Vecht, the Randmeren, and the Frisian waters

And everywhere it went, the same happened:
people looked up, smiled… and gave a thumbs up.

“Good for the ego of the skipper,” as the owner beautifully puts it.

Comfort and atmosphere

On board, everything is about experience:

  • Classic wooden windows (foldable)
  • Luxury cushions in burgundy, light gray, and stylish stripes
  • Wooden foldable swimming ladder for summer days
  • Complete set of lines and fenders in anthracite and black
  • Summer and winter covers, matching its elegant appearance

Everything is right. Everything feels well thought out.

A farewell with feeling

For more than 20 years, the No5 has been part of a life on the water.
Of several ships, only this one remains — the favorite.

But times change.
More time abroad and physical limitations mean that it is now time to say goodbye to this beloved boat.

Not out of necessity, but out of care.
Because it deserves a new owner. An enthusiast.

Who is this boat for?

For someone who is not looking for a boat… but an experience.
For someone who values history, style, and character.
For someone who understands that some things are irreplaceable.

Practical
  • Name: No5 from Muiden
  • Length: 9 meters
  • Engine: 45 HP Solé diesel

The No5 from Muiden is not waiting for just any buyer.
It is waiting for its next chapter.

Maybe that starts with you.
