Comet 50 - registration 2000 | In excellent condition, equipped and ready to sail

We offer for sale a splendid Comet 50 from 2000, a solid, comfortable, and well-equipped sailing boat, ideal for cruising or medium to long-range navigation. The vessel is in very good condition, with regular maintenance.

Hull and rudder

The hull was stripped to zero in April 2026; the 8 sea cocks were replaced in 2024. The keel, lead bulb, and related bolts are in good condition. The rudder bushings are in excellent condition.

Deck and sail equipment

Starting from the bow, we find a Delta anchor with an electric windlass, equipped with a recently serviced winch and 100 meters of 10 mm diameter chain. The deck equipment includes furling gear, aluminum mast and boom, adjustable backstay, and fixed stainless steel rigging replaced in 2018. The halyards and sheets were replaced in 2024.

The sail plan is complete and updated: the main sail, from 2025, is in excellent condition, the roller genoa, with UV band, replaced in 2018 is in good condition. Completing the sail plan are a Storm Jib in excellent condition and a Gennaker in good condition. There are 6 winches in the cockpit, of which 3 electric Self Tailing 2 Speed from Harken (2 of 46, 2 of 53, and 2 of 66), regularly maintained.

The cockpit is well protected by a bimini at the stern, and a sprayhood at the bow, both in excellent condition (made in 2025), while the swim platform is equipped with a shower (hot and cold water) and bath ladder, ideal for life at anchor.

The condition of the deck is excellent: no alteration of the gelcoat, while the teak has been completely replaced in 2024.

Engine and systems

On board is installed a new and reliable Volvo Penta 75hp engine, with just 654 total running hours, installed in 2019. Maintenance has always been timely, with service every 100-120 hours. The last service was performed in May 2026 and the cleaning of the heat exchangers has been done every 24 months.

The propeller is a Jprop with 3 bronze blades. A second spare propeller is also available. The shaft line bushing was replaced in May 2026.

The boat has 4 batteries, 2 for the Services of the AGM Odyssey type with 215 Ah, replaced in 2025.

Instrumentation and navigation

The onboard electronics are from Raymarine and Garmin: it is complete, updated, perfectly functional, and includes: Autopilot, AIS, Radar, Plotter, tridata and wind, as well as fixed VHF, GPS, Depth sounder, Log.

Safety equipment

The boat is equipped with everything necessary for safe navigation:

• MOB buoy with floating line

Interiors and layout

The internal layout is classic and functional: we find 3 cabins, two owner's cabins, one at the bow and one at the stern, spacious and bright, and one with bunk beds, complete with wardrobes, a small sofa, and storage compartments. The flooring and furniture are in good condition, as well as the internal and external upholstery. The condition of the portholes is excellent: no leaks.

The dinette can be converted into a bed, while the galley is complete with a cockpit fridge, a vertical fridge with integrated freezer, 3 gas burners and a three-way sink (hot, cold, and seawater). There are two bathrooms with marine toilets,

The salon, spacious and bright, features a double seating group: one around the main table and one around the chart table. Air conditioning and hot water systems are also present.

This boat is equipped with a 3-meter tender and a Tohatsu outboard motor with 8 hp.
