The Fineliner 40 is a stylish motor yacht with a classic design, efficient hull, and powerful performance for comfortable and fast sailing pleasure.

The Fineliner / Classic Solution 40 feet is a unique Van der Stadt design with a length of 12 meters, a width of 3 meters, and a draft of only 0.65 m. The ship was built in 1998 on behalf of Jim Lensveld and constructed with a wood core (red cedar), finished inside and out with epoxy, and reinforced with carbon ribs. The streamlined hull is designed for speed and efficiency.

In 2022, a new 6-cylinder Steyr diesel engine was installed by Padmos in Brouwershaven (± 120 hours). This allows it to reach a top speed of about 28 knots. At neutral, the engine runs at only 635 RPM, resulting in a consumption of 1.1 l/h at ± 5 km/h. The 500-liter fuel tank provides ample range.

The interior offers a double bed in the front and a double bed in the aft cabin, a vacuum toilet with a new pump (2025), a 10 L Isotherm boiler, and dual steering (cockpit & salon). A bow thruster ensures effortless maneuvering.

In 2024, the interior upholstery was renewed, the woodwork was given a new Awlgrip paint, the anti-fouling was renewed, and new drive shaft bearings were installed. Witsen in Alkmaar installed a Victron inverter and battery pack for 220 V on board, which also replaces the gas stove with an induction cooktop.

This very well-maintained and complete Fineliner 40 combines classic beauty, modern technology, and impressive performance — ready for many years of sailing pleasure.
